Whether you are a complete beginner or more advanced Rapid Kayaking welcomes all levels of kayaking, experience and ability.  Our courses are designed to get you kayaking rapidly.  All our courses are run by friendly professional instructors offering tips, support and encouragement gained from years of experience with a real knowledge of the local area and that will help to improve your kayaking skills.  We at Rapid Kayaking will provide all necessary equipment so all you need to bring along is an enthusiastic sense of fun, learning and adventure.  We cater for individuals, groups, schools and youth groups.

Beginners Taster Sessions.

With no experience of canoeing or kayaking required.  These 2 hour introductory sessions of fun and games for all ages (adults and children.)  Which provides the encouragement to get you started and includes a.B.C.U. Paddlepower Start Certificate.  Cost of session Eur 20 p/p.

Paddlepower Courses. 

Introducing the new Paddlepower courses and awards which have been especially designed with young people in mind.  The scheme provides logical progression through skills, safety and awareness.  Each award has a progress card for the young paddler to record the successful completion of each task in the booklet so identifying exactly where they are at. 

Paddlepower Passport Award.

For children aged 9-14 years these awards comprise of four progressive levels concentrating on skills and safety over a duration of 6 hours and includes a booklet and certificate.  Cost of course Eur 65 p/p.

Paddlepower Discover.

A follow on from the Passport Awards these more advanced courses over 6 hours have four levels that will significantly develop your technique and skills.  Better suited for children aged 9-14 yrs.  Cost of course Eur 65 p/p.

1 Star Awards.

Aimed at further progressing your skills for older children (14 yrs and over) and adults these awards cover boat handling skills, safety and awareness that will definitely build up your confidence.  Duration 6 hrs.  Eur 65 p/p.

2 Star Proficiency Award and Assessment.

For the more experienced These awards are benchmarks for Paddlers that will further develop your skills and take the Paddler to the next higher level with a greater emphasis on safety, journeys and goal setting.  Duration 6 hours for ages ranging 14 years and over.  Cost of course Eur 65 p/p. 

Kayak Trips.

Explore the stunning Atlantic coastline and ocean at your leisure.  All equipment is supplied and no previous kayaking experience is necessary.

Pool Sessions.
